Westford Earth Month 2025 is a series of events occurring in Westford, Massachusetts throughout April. It expands on the tradition of Earth Day. Given the climate crisis, we need more attention and activism than ever. Climate change is a global issue but the work starts locally.
Friday, April 4th at 7:30 pm
Please join us for this important film. Our screening will take place on Friday, April 4th at 7:30 pm at the First Parish Church United in Westford, 48 Main Street. The film will be followed by a Q&A by David Abel. This event is free as it is being generously co-sponsored by the Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library, First Parish Church United, Sustainable Westford, League of Women Voters of Westford and Westford’s Clean Energy and Sustainability Committee. Refreshments will be served. Donations will be welcome.

No registration is required for these walks. All walks will run rain or shine. Dogs on leash welcome. Trails are not suitable for strollers. Poison Ivy may occur along the trails; long pants and socks are recommended. Maps of all these areas are available at the Trust’s website..
Saturday, April 5, 9-10:30 a.m A Walk on the Acker Land
Mark Minnucci will lead this lovely walk along Stony Brook. Walk is easy and mostly flat. Birds may be spotted on the brook and in the forest. Park near the Stony Brook Conservation Land sign on Depot St., near the railroad crossing. Mark will meet you there. For questions call Mark at: 484-919-7271
Saturday, April 12, 9-10:30 a.m. A walk at O’Brien Farm.
Rich Strazdas will lead a walk at O’Brien Farm on Vose Rd. Land is hilly; a mixture of pasture and forest. Wildlife abounds. Park at the dedicated lot on Vose Rd. Nearest address is 1 Steeplechase Circle. For questions call Rich at: 508-340-8775
Saturday, April 19, 9-10:30 a.m. A Walk to the Stone Arch Bridge.
Len Palmer will lead a walk along an abandoned rail trail to Westford’s iconic Stone Arch Bridge. The bridge was built in 1872 entirely of granite blocks without aid of mortar. It spans Stony Brook, where nice views of waterfowl and a beaver dam are seen. Walk is flat. Meet Len at the Stone Arch Bridge sign and parking area on Coldspring Rd. Saturday, April 26, 9-10:30 a.m. – A Walk to East Boston Camps from Stony Brook School.
Bill Harman will lead a walk to East Boston Camps from its northern entrance near the Stony Brook School. Walk is hilly. Park at the Stony Brook School parking area, where Bill will meet you. There will be nice views of Stony Brook, Burge’s Pond, and forest. Wildlife abounds. For questions, call Bill at 603-533-4095.
